We live in a time of urgent global challenges—climate change, poverty, inequality, and access to basic needs like education and electricity.
The world is at a turning point, and we might be the last generation with the power to change its course. But where do we begin?
At CCCCCCC, we believe in the power of storytelling. As motion designers and animators, our daily work shapes messages that reach thousands—sometimes millions—of people. What if we used those skills to amplify something bigger?
That thought led to Frames for Future, an international animation initiative that brought together some of the most talented artists and studios in the industry. The mission? To use animation as a force for awareness and action, with each contributor creating a film focused on one of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
Frames for Future was never about a single campaign—it was about proving that art and storytelling can push conversations forward.
Leading up to the United Nations Climate Action Summit 2019, each contributor created a short film focused on one of the Sustainable Development Goals, addressing topics such as climate action, gender equality, clean energy, and education.
With no clients, no profits, and no restrictions, artists had full creative freedom to bring their perspectives to life. The result? A visually stunning, emotionally powerful series of animations—each unique in style but united in purpose.
This project would not have been possible without the generosity and talent of the artists who joined the movement. Some of the most celebrated names in animation and motion design invested their time and energy to make Frames for Future a reality. Their work didn’t just tell stories—it challenged perspectives, evoked emotions, and inspired action.
We are beyond grateful for every artist who contributed to this initiative.
